This wondrous WLF Supreme Concert snare drum from the 1950's is a corker of a snare. The shell is made up of 3 plies, the inner is Mahogany, outer is Maple, sandwiching a poplar ply, supported by Maple re-rings. It is a 6-lug drum with their classic 'bowtie' style lug, and a WLF P-83 strainer & butt end.
At some point in it's life, this snare has been painted purple, however the paint job is to a high level. The hoops are die cast (not original) with some marks, but boy does this drum have character.
The snare has been fully cleaned & serviced in house at Horny's Drums (after photographs were taken), and is fitted with an Evans Genera Coated Batter Head & Evans 300 Snare Side head, along with new 20-strand Dry Wires with Phosphor Bronze End Plates.
