This Remo Encore snare uses their Acousticon SE shells, made from laminations of wood fibrous material, bonded together with hard silica resins. The resulting shell sound is vibrant, unique and records superbly.
The lugs are Remo's PowerSnap lugs, which make head changes a BREEZE! They do not take a high level of tension, as they are plastic, however that isn't the sound you are looking for from this drum!
The bearing edges of this drum are all in good condition, and the drum has been cleaned and serviced in-house by Horny's Drums.
