This First Generation Pearl Free Floating snare drum has a 14x8” steel shell (including aluminium chassis) that is completely free to resonate without hinderance thanks to its distinct Free Floating design.
Definitely a players grade drum, this snare came in needing some TLC. It has been stripped, cleaned and serviced, the strainers have been fixed and brand new Pearl S-025 20 strand snare wires (worth £25) and a new Evans Coated Power Center head (worth £32.50).
There are signs of pitting on the hoops and hardware, and the strainer cage is a little off centre, however everything is working as it should, and sounds superb! An amazing rock snare for the studio or live!
