This set of Impact drums is a real treat, and quite a rare one at that!

The 4-piece fibreglass shell pack is comprised of 12x10” and 13x11 rack toms, 16x16" floor tom and a 22x16” bass drum.

This kit is in good condition, and has been cleaned and serviced in house at HD. It comes fitted with partially used heads to keep the cost down.

Unfortunately the tom mounts did not come with the kit, and with the rod diameters not being standard, sourcing them wasn't possible. So the kit is sold as a shell pack with no additional hardware to the photos. Floor tom legs and bass drum spurs are included.

This is a superb kit for someone looking to experiment with different shell materials, at an super price.

Impact made drums out of Wausau, Wisconsin USA, making a host of weird and wonderful drums, some resembling North and Staccato drum kits with their funnel shells.

The difference between Impact drums and other fiberglass drum kits were that Impact made

"hand laid, double wall fiberglass for extra torque" that were more flexible shells than other companies, which brings out more low end from the drums and that they projected better than other kits.

The large chrome plastic-edged slot at the front (called a frontal sound hole) also projects sound and to accentuate the attack when played. The toms are quite warm, because the shells vibrated nicely due to the thin, flexible shell, very unlike any other fiberglass or synthetic drum.

One of the more famous endorsers of Impact was John Bermuda, the drummer for  'Weird Al' Jankovic' who was a huge fan of them.
