Carlton made some stunning drums in the UK, and this is one of them! This 14x10" snare drum with dual strainers/snare wires allow superb flexibility when playing, and sounds superb.
There is both snare wires on the underside of the batter head, as well as a traditional set of wires on the resonant head. Both function independently, or can be used together.
This snare would fit perfectly in a studio setting, being a really useful and flexible snare for a drummer/producer.
The snare has been fully stripped and serviced. As you can see, the chrome hardware has a lot of pitting, however this is purely cosmetic. The snare mechanism had been changed for a very basic Premier strainer (see extra hole in photos), which I have replaced with the carlton original strainers. One of the mounting screw holes on a single lug (pictured) sheered off, so one is missing, however the lug is held in place rock solid.
