Yamaha make some of the finest drums available in the drum world today, and this is no exception.
This Yamaha Beech Custom Absolute Nouveau (BCAN for short) 14x13" hanging floor tom was made at the prestigious Yamaha Japan facility. It features the (Sakae constructed) 6-ply, 7.5mm thick Beech Shells and the revolutionary design Nouveau quick release lug, which in later years formed the basis for the current re-designed quick release lugs now found on the PHX and Hybrid series. Finished in stunning Blue Ice Sparkle lacquer which is even more impressive in the flesh.
Yamaha added Beech to the Absolute line after the success of the Beech Custom Series. The Beech Shell shell quickly became a favourite because of its excellent sonic properties.
The drum is in excellent condition, with no marks or scratches to the shell, and some light, cosmetic wear on the hoops. It has been serviced (photos are pre-service), and is fitted with slightly used heads.
