This Slingerland Deluxe Student Model snare is as good as it looks!
Designed to be a 'Student' model drum, using less lugs (6 lugs instead of 8 or 10) to be more cost effective, the resulting drum has tons of character. The shell is a 3-ply Maple-Poplar-Maple shell with round-over bearing edges, and maple re-rings.
Complete with original lugs, tension rods, Slingerland Rim Shot hoops, however the strainer has been replaced with an early 1970's Ludwig P-85 Black strainer, which works fantastically.
The snare has been fully stripped and serviced in house at Horny's Drums, and is fitted with brand new 16-strand dry wires, a new Evans 300 Snare Side Head, and an Evans HD Dry batter head.
