This gorgeous vintage Premier drum kit in gold sparkle finish is a real treat!
The kit is made up of a 12x8" rack tom, a 16x19" floor tom VERY unusual! (both pre-international sizes), and a 20x14" bass drum, all with thin 3-ply birch shells with beech re-rings.
The kit is in generally very good condition for its age, with very clean chrome hardware. The floor tom has an area of the wrap with some age related damage (see photo). The bass drum has a very rare AJAX cymbal arm and mount fitted to it which is a lovely little addition.
Dating this kit has proved difficult, as the badges and sizes indicate it being a 1960s outfit, but the lugs are of the 70s era. I believe Premier, as with a lot of other English brands, quite often 'used what was there' to make kits. All of that being said, this is a stunning kit that sounds superb.
Comes with all original parts, including tom arm and floor tom legs.
