This NewSound 14x5.5” snare drum is a cracking snare! The shell is made of 7-ply luan and an Asian soft wood, with 6 double sided lugs, and a solid, reliable strainer. Also fitted with an internal tone adjuster (muffler), similar to early Tama tone knobs.
Being 6-lugs, and with the Luan wood, this snare can be tuned to get a nice low, fat sound, and is versatile through medium and high tuning ranges. Being a 6 lugger, it has plenty of nice, dark overtones that give the snare a character of it’s own.
The drum has been fully stripped, cleaned, serviced, with spring dampeners fitted inside the lugs, and new 16 strand snare wires fitted.
Comes with a brand new Code Zero snare batter head and a Remo Ambassador Hazy head.
