Mapex really outdid themselves with their Saturn Series drum kits, which not only sound superb both acoustically or under mics, but the stunning Electric Berry Burst Sparkle finish is actually a gloss lacquer, not a wrap!
The drum sizes are 20x14" (professionally cut down), 10x8", 12x9" and 14x14", featuring 6-ply shells (7.5mm bass drum, 5.1mm toms) of two interior walnut plies and four exterior plies of maple.
Resonance is king, with the bass drum being virgin, all of the tom mounts, floor tom brackets AND bass drum legs utilise Mapex's exclusive isolated mounting system, so are not drilled into the shells. The floor tom legs are spring loaded, so this kit really was built to sing!
The kit comes fitted with 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, brand new batter heads and slightly used resonant heads. There are some very small signs of use, however the kit is in excellent condition.
Comes complete with a full set of cases, and a double tom arm stand.
