This Carlton Cracker snare drum really lives up to its name!
Built at a time where projection was key, this 14x3” snare drum is crisp, warm and cuts through the mix. With original die cast hoops allowing for precise tuning, and wires that extend past the shell for maximum response.
Unfortunately the original snare handle mechanism is missing, as with a lot of these snares that come up for sale. However the mechanism is working well and holds the wires on the drum well. It uses a drum key to turn the snares on or off.
The snare has had a platinum service, and comes fitted with original snare wires, a partially used Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and Remo Hazy Ambassador snare side head. As you can see the hoops have some signs of pitting, nevertheless this is a corker of a snare drum!
